There are 3 main input fields to consider:

QTY

Quantity is the amount of labor or material as expressed by a measurement such as SQFT, LNFT, FT …etc.

Cost

The cost column refers to your actual cost that you pay for the labor or material.

Estimate

The amount estimated for that line item as QTY x Cost = estimate. The estimate column is a subtotal before profit margin is applied.
