A general overview of how our pool design process works.
It is not in either of our interest to deliberate over numerous possibilities. The pool and amenities should fit the form and function of your vision.
At the very least the concept should compliment the surrounding architecture and the value per square foot should be comparable to other pools in the surrounding market.
Not every pool is designed solely based on a return on investment. Your vision for this project is important and is a crucial component in our design process.
Whether you are an owner or a contractor, we need to start with a focused vision that is the result of your time spent on thinking this through.
Once you have narrowed down your scope and settled on a reasonable concept idea, it’s time to get that on paper.
You can sketch your ideas with just about anything but, on paper is best at first as a rough draft and we have accepted numerous sketches like that. So, a nothing-special basic sketch of the idea will be fine.
Along with your sketch, we need a good copy of your property survey or a site plan. This is the single most important document we need to get from you. It needs to be in a PDF file format.
Additionally, we need photos of the proposed pool area and photos that show the back of the house.
Otherwise, it would also be nice to know what types of materials fit your vision. If you don’t know what materials are available or what the names are you can send up to 3 photos showing materials as examples.
To kick-off the actual design process you need to purchase the pool design service and any other design addons that may be applicable. Our website will take you through the ordering process.
Once your order is received we will start looking for the required documents and media mentioned in step 2. When all documents and any other requests for information are received we add your design job to the schedule, so it is important to have had those things ready prior to placing your order.
As we are working on your design we may reach out for any questions and voice any concerns that come up as we adapt your vision to a professional and tangible draft design. Design takes time. Although we are very efficient with our workflow and get design jobs out at a reasonable rate, fluctuations in the time one design may take from another varies.
